God of Second Chances

His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.— Lamentations 3:22–23

This month’s devotional is personal to me. Over the past year I have seen God give people in my life a second chance at their work, at a drug and mental health rehabilitation center, and after experiencing a failed relationship.

God loves to give people another chance and a fresh start. It is my prayer that you will allow Him to give you a second chance too. Throughout this issue we will:

• Examine how, throughout the Bible, God gave people a second, third,
  and fourth chance
• Learn why and when we also should give others another chance
• Cultivate an attitude of humility and forgiveness
