A Study in 1 and 2 Peter
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.—1 Peter 1:3–4
For believers, hope is not a wish but a sure thing. Our hope is not a vague notion, but embodied in Jesus Christ, our Living Hope.
Peter tells us that the best way we can honor our salvation is by living it out. While God guarantees that we will reach the finish line, we must still “make every effort.” You’ll see this phrase four times in 2 Peter! As you study with us this month, we pray that you will:
