Our God Reigns

You may recognize the book of Micah for its prophecy that the Messiah would come from Bethlehem. But, we’ll miss a great deal if we look to Micah only for this prophecy. Micah shows us a God who opposes the wicked and cares deeply for the downtrodden and the oppressed. In addition, the prophet teaches us how to live in right relationship with the only true God. As you study Micah with Today in the Word this month, I pray that you will:

• Heed Micah’s call to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God
• Worship only the Lord who is faithful to His covenant no matter what
• Trust only in the Lord who removes idols and false securities so that we may know, trust, and rely only on Him
